Animal Effigy Vessel: A personal Symbol
Animal Effigy Vessels
After learning about Native American functional and decorative art, 6th grade students researched and chose a totem animal to represent in their functional and decorative vessel. Sketching designs from three different views of their vessel helped students to "think in the round" and create form from shape to make these dynamic pieces!

Why ART?
I teach art so students will recognize and appreciate
true beauty, communicate from the very depths of their soul, be sensitive to
life and the peoples within it. I teach art so students will have more love,
more compassion, more gentleness -more life.
